Acknowledgements
First I would like to thank all the authors who contributed to this project. Without you this dictionary would never have come into existence. Everyone who has entries included here and my editor, Carol Macdonald, have been tremendously cooperative and helpful in more ways than one. I would like to also thank Keith Ansell-Pearson, Ronald Bogue, Paul Patton, and James Williams for the comments and suggestions they provided for the first edition, all of which strengthened the theoretical rigour of this dictionary; any shortcomings are entirely my own. I am very grateful to the Department of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies; and the School of Architecture and Interior Design at the University of Cincinnati for their continuing support.
I thank all the authors for agreeing to donate all royalties from this new revised and expanded edition to the non-profit non-governmental organization Village Life Outreach Project.
